Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux based core services including Active Directory, Cluster Services, RDS Services, CA Services, NTP, DNS, DHCP, Radius;
- Control user access to the network;
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining software, hardware, networks in support of business processing requirements;
- Responsible for testing and implementing new technologies;
- Maintain networking equipment including switches, routers, FC switches and any Corporate Storage Systems;
- Provide hardware and software guidance to IT Support Service Teams;
- Consults with personnel in other information systems sections to coordinate activities;
- Make recommendations for network hardware and software upgrades;
- Provide support to company users, investigate and troubleshoot issues;
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures, coordinate and communicate with affected users/departments;
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, etc;
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning;
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates. Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments;
- Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative;
Candidate Profile
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
- 10+ year experience in relevant positions
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in English;
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
